Delete your Kelp Horn account

You only have an account if you signed in to confirm or post sightings. Watching the map and getting alerts needs no account, so there's nothing to delete.

In the app

Open Kelp Horn and tap Account.
Tap Delete account, then Delete.
If you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm, so Kelp Horn can also stop using your Apple ID.

It happens straight away.

Without the app

Email kelphorn-privacy@h360.dev from the email address you signed in with, and say you want your account deleted. If you signed in with Apple and hid your email, tell us the name you use in Kelp Horn instead. We delete it within 30 days and reply when it's done.

What's deleted, and what stays

Deleted: your sign-in details (the account identifier and email address from Apple or Google), your display name and your role.
Kept, no longer linked to you: sightings you posted, which sightings you confirmed, and the record of role changes. Sightings already stop being visible at the midnight after they're posted.
